The music
ministry of First Baptist Graceville Church exists to
lead the church in her worship of God. This
is accomplished by training people in the art of music
and its place in worship and by preparing musicians to
lead the congregation in worship. Any born-again
Christian who has an interest in music is invited
to seek a place of service in our music ministry. |

We believe that the first purpose for which God
created us is to bring Him glory. Worship is
more than music or song-style, it is a
lifestyle. We are created to worship Him through
our lives. Music is important in that we are
given opportunities through music to tell God
how we feel about him and to enter into a
worship experience. The Adult Choir leads the
Sunday morning worship services and special
presentations at Christmas, Easter, July 4th,
etc. |

Youth Praise Team

Youth Praise
Teams (Grades 7-12) - Rehearsals
Sundays at 5:00 P.M. in the choir room.
Members - Jordan Cox, Anthony Williams,
Ashley Lain, Michael Long
The Youth Praise
Teams consist of Praise Bands, Drama, Puppet
Ministry. The Praise Band leads youth meetings
in worship. The choir also takes a tour in the
summer. Past tour destinations have included
Mississippi and Louisiana, Georgia and
North/South Carolina, Virginia and Washington,
DC, and Tennessee. Participation in Florida
Baptist All-State Youth Musicians on Mission is
promoted, and First Baptist Church has a strong
presence in the group. |
Children's Choir

Children's Choir -
(Grades 1-6)
Rehearsals are
Wednesdays at 6:00 P.M. in room of the
educational building.
Leader -
The Children's Choir, grades 1-6, trains
children in the fundamentals of music, the use
of music in worship, and the role of music in
the Christian life. The children sing at
Christmas, the end of the choir year in May, and
other times when they have songs to share. The
choir regularly participates in state Young
Musicians festivals. |

Worship KidStyle (Ages 3-5) Rehearsals are
Wednesdays at 6:00 P.M. in room of the
educational building.
Leader - Melissa Folds
Worker - Heather Green
The preschool choir introduces the joy of
music to the children. The children learn basic
musical concepts, find their singing voice, and
discover the importance of music in our lives.
They sing at Christmas and at the end of the
choir year in May. |
Handbells

Handbells -
Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 6:30 P.M. in room
of the sanctuary building.
Leader - Linda
Vaughn
The Handbell Choir
members enjoy ringing bells as they learn music
to share in worship services. They play in
regular worship services as well as special
services at times such as Christmas.
